WHY OTTO AMR ARE THE RIGHT CHOICE
The OTTO™ autonomous mobile robots - AMR-platform is designed with five key considerations, which make it an unparalleled solution for automated internal material transport:
Infrastructure-Free
OTTO autonomous mobile robots navigate spaces much like your workforce. Each vehicle maintains a map of the space and uses natural features and multiple sensors to determine its position within its map. Unlike conventional AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle), OTTO AMR do not require any adaptations to the paths to go, like; tape, target reflectors, bar codes, magnets, or RFID tags. And therefore no associated initial and ongoing maintenance costs.Scalable
A system deployment can easily scale with business demands. Due to minimal support infrastructure, additional vehicles can be added to your fleet to expand the system work capacity.OTTO Fleetmanager can easily handle up to 100+ mobile robots, and shows the major advantages the OTTO software intelligence has over the! A vehicle will connect to the vehicle network, download the map, and quickly be ready for the next mission assignment in dynamic enviroments. Robot vehicles can also be removed without disrupting your productivity.
Reconfigurable
The system is centrally managed and controlled through a user-friendly interface. The virtual map can be easily managed to update destinations, interface positions, park locations, ‘roadway’ changes, and charger positions to accommodate temporary or long-term changes to the facility.Re-deployable
The OTTO self-driving vehicle solution is adaptable and re-deployable. Each vehicle is independent and capable of performing multiple tasks in a variety of applications. The fleet references the centrally controlled map, which allows vehicles to be easily redeployed to other areas of the facility, or other facilities entirely. When a vehicle arrives at a new facility, it is connected to the WiFi, downloads the map from the central fleet manager, and then immediately joins into the fleet to complete work. Therefore, OTTO self-driving vehicles can be a flexible resource for strategically deploying work capacity throughout your operation.Robust and Vehicle Control
OTTO mobile robot vehicle is designed to avoid obstacles and plan around blocked routes using dynamic path planning. For example, if a pallet is blocking an aisle, OTTO vehicles will reroute to get to their destination. If a vehicle gets trapped, a notification will appear in the software to show where it is blocked. All these design considerations make OTTO autonomous mobile robots flexible and adaptable to both physical and workflow changes in your facility.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT PARTNERSHIP-
Are automated and autonomous the same?
-
Computer-controlled machines that can perform a set of defined tasks by following specific instructions with minimal or no human intervention are automated. Autonomous Machines have the intelligence to make decisions when faced with new or unexpected situations. These machines may have the ability to learn as they encounter new situations.
-
What are the benefits of an AMR?
-
What are the benefits of working with AMRs? The working conditions of operaters will improve by reducing repetitive tasks By optimizing traffic flow production and labor costs will be reduced. Almost complete traceability will improve safety but also reducing human error or accidents. Less injuries, less absence. Improve space efficiency by providing flexibility within your facility layout. Redeployable between multiple tasks and locations as demands change. ROI achieved by increasing consistency, reducing labortime, lowering operation costs and improving safety. Little to no facility modifications required to fast and easy installation.

Difference AMR and AGV
-
An automated guided vehicle (AGV) is a floor-bound vehicle. Automated guided systems (AGS) are floor-based automatically controlled vehicles. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) have served the industrial world well for decades. However, in the last few years, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) have started displacing AGVs due to their dynamic decision making, creating a system that is as safe as an AGV, but as flexible as a human driver.

What is an AIMM?
-
The autonomous mobile robots can be extended with different top modules that can be mounted on the robot, such as racks, bins, lifts, conveyors, grippers, hooks or a collaborative robot. Adding a collaborative robot you enter a slightly different robot category called Autonomous Industrial Mobile Manipulation (AIMM) a complete autonomous operator.
